      Both.

Computers/iPads are great for getting lots of information fast. However books are better for longer reads. Reading from a screen for long periods of time is uncomfortable, especially in bright light.

If I was revising today, then a book in the back garden, out in the sun sounds like a great idea!

There’s lots of evidence that taking in information in different ways helps is remember, so mix it up, and go with whatever works best for you.

Either! But an important part of revising is being active yourself – there’s no point just reading stuff and expecting to remember it. I find that writing out notes really helps. Also how about memorising something and then standing up and giving a talk about it to an imaginary audience. That way you won’t get bored by sitting and reading/writing all the time!

Both! It depends on the person and how revision works for you – I agree with Ian that sitting in front of a computer get uncomfortable and personally I find reading from a book easier. Using the internet is a lot easier to find specific information that you’re looking for though and can save you a lot of time.

It took me a while to find out what my best revision technique was – condensing large chunks of information into one or two sentences, summarised on a poster worked for me. And also talking about the topic with friends – that helped me a lot!

      I’d have to agree, both.

I’d also say don’t stop writing by hand, write anything, draw anything. It doesn’t have to make sense but if it helps you understand or remember something then its worth doing. Youtube is an excellent learning resource, especially for biology.
