      Eggs definitely existed before chickens.

      Lots of animals lay eggs, many of them far older than chickens, or birds. In fact almost all animals have some kind of egg, so its obviously a VERY old technique of bring offspring into the world.

      Egg! A bird that was a bit like a chicken must have laid an egg whose DNA had changed slightly, resulting in a chicken egg, or one like it with a chicken inside. I recommend watching this video which explains is very well
