I’m a physicist – but not as you might imagine. I don’t do experiments, and haven’t even got a white coat or goggles! Instead, I come up with theories. I use maths to predict how tiny particles behave. When you’ve got lots of particles smashing into each other, it gets really complicated. So I have to use some wacky ideas to make the calculations simpler. Once I’ve found something that works, I put it all in a computer and publish the answer!
-
My Typical Day:
A mixture of reading papers, writing down my ideas and chatting to other scientists.
-
What I'd do with the prize money:
I’d put on a science fete, with lots of games, food and drink organised by real scientists!
