      Bending light is easy. We do it all the time, using prisms for example.

      However I’m not sure how that would let us go into the past.

      As far as we know, it’s not possible to go back into our own past.

      But actually the whole idea of past is relative! If you were a light ray, then you’d have no concept of past or future – time wouldn’t tick for you. That’s a consequence of Einstein’s famous theory of relativity. So really the idea of past doesn’t make sense to a light ray! Cool, huh?
