      Hi orritt17,

Actually NASA and the ESA don’t do much research into the theory of particles or the Big Bang. They do more practical stuff, like sending rockets into space (cool)! The experiments that astronauts do can’t really find out about the Big Bang or smash particles together because the rockets are very small are have limited amounts of energy.

The place I’d really love to work is at CERN in Switzerland. There they’ve got a 16 mile long particle smasher! They recently discovered a completely new particle called the Higgs boson – you might have heard about it in the news. For me, CERN is the most exciting place in the world!
