Global warming is largely caused by the burning of fossil fuels in generating electricity and running cars, which release carbon dioxide. But it’s also caused by methane released by grazing animals like cows (which traps heat a lot more than carbon dioxide), gases used in equipment like fridges and loss of forests that would store carbon dioxide.

So if we were to stop burning fossil fuels and start using alternative sources of energy like wind and solar power, we’d still never get rid of global warming, we’d just reduce it.
