Good question. I find my job and personal life overlap, but only because I allow it to. That’s the benefit of enjoying what you do, you often find yourself thinking about work when you’re not at your place of work. My supervisor told me to never pursue an area of research that I wasn’t personally interested in. I work in muscle physiology research, so I can relate it to quite a lot, especially as I’m interested in sport and exercise.
That is an intriguing question. It does at times, but then that is an indication to me that I am not being organised or efficient at it. Keeping a balance is really essential because we need a break from everything that we do and that actually makes us more efficient at it.
