Edward Hughes answered on 23 Jun 2014:
At about 1,700 mph. It’s more than twice the speed of sound, which is one why you hear a bang when the gun is fired!
Ian Stephenson answered on 23 Jun 2014:
It depends on the gun – anything from 120m/s up to over 1000m/s.
Naomi Osborne answered on 24 Jun 2014:
The firing distance also affects how fast a bullet travels – if it’s further away from a target, gravity, air resistance and recoil are all factors that affect the way a bullet travels
