      Hi leahjaques,

Trees produce oxygen in a process called photosynthesis. They absorb light and carbon dioxide to produce glucose (used for energy) and oxygen. It takes place in the tree’s leaves, where cells called chloroplasts contain chloropyll which absorbs light energy.
