Ian Stephenson answered on 19 Jun 2014:
Gravity.
It’s a force which pulls any objects together because of their mass. Once a planet reaches a certain size its own weight holds it together (and pulls in nearby objects, which add to the effect).
Naomi Osborne answered on 22 Jun 2014:
Gravity is also why our planets are round – it pulls everything into the center so the only shape that can form is a sphere 🙂
