Actually one interesting think about this kind of question: questions like “does X exist/is it possible” are really easy to answer when the answer is yes: Here’s a video of a guy liking his nose. Here’s a photo of me with tiger, so tigers must exist. I just need to find one tiger, and I’ve proved tigers exist.
It’s almost impossible to prove something doesn’t exist. You can’t prove ghosts don’t exist – I can just say that no one got any good evidence for them. It only takes one person to see one ghost and its proved, but everyone looking forever and never finding one doesn’t prove anything.
In the same way science can’t prove god doesn’t exist.
On the other hand there’s a something called Occams Razor which basically say don’t go inventing complex solutions when there’s a perfectly good obvious one. If no one has ever seen a ghost, then that doesn’t mean the don’t exist, but that doesn’t mean they do either, and without evidence we shouldn’t go just inventing them for the sake of it. So science would accept that until someone comes up with the evidence ghosts don’t exist.
