No unfortunately not! We can delay aging though, but not prevent it! And that is actually good or else none of us would have a place to stay or water to drink!

I’m afraid not – we cannot stop our body from aging, there are too many factors that cause us to age and die naturally. As we get older, our bodies start malfunctioning on purpose (such as cell replication stopping) so there’s enough room for our offspring. If we lived forever there wouldn’t be enough resources in the world to keep us all alive and everyone would probably die!

It’s also worth considering what would happen to our bodies if they did’t die: every time you bashed yourself or cut yourself you would accumulate damage. If you lived forever you’d have hundreds of years of accidents an scars! You’d never be able to take any risks, as the damage would really be permanent.

Sometimes when something gets old and damaged, the best thing to do is get a new one. Death is nature throwing out old and broken things and getting new ones rather than trying to keep repairing them.
