• Question: is ti true that the sun will become a black hole?

      No.

      It’s certainly true that collapsing stars form black holes, but it happens when the weight of the star pulls itself in under its own weight. The sun isn’t any where near heavy enough to make that happen, so when it collapses it’ll probably make complete mess of the solar system, but won’t form a black hole.

      Probably not, because the sun is too small to form a black hole. A star has to be many more times bigger than the sun for it to be one.

      To create a black hole, our sun would need to be at least 20 times the size it is – ours will probably become a white dwarf
