Choosing a University can be difficult – The Times does a good guide on how good Universities are depending on what subject you want to take – http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/University_Guide/

Important things to look at are student satisfaction (this is an indicator of how good student life will be) and research quality. Do take the look around Universities at open days before applying – this is how you get a good feel of the campus. I wanted to apply for a couple which were ‘good’ but after looking around them, wasn’t that keen on going there!

I went to the University of Leciester with Geology students who are working all over the world now – sounds pretty exciting!

I know a few geologists at Cambridge University, and they’re all having a great time! You get to travel a lot, even as an undergraduate student. Plus Cambridge is a really lovely place to spend a few years of your life!
