Question: what makes us care/love?

Caring and loving is thought to come from caring for our children and those in our social groups. We’ve evolved to care because it’s essential for survival – without it humans probably wouldn’t have flourished as they have – but that doesn’t mean we’re only kind to survive now – it’s our best trait as humans! Being kind is also an attractive trait so it’s also evolved as part of ‘survival of the fittest’ – being unkind is very unattractive!
