      Scientists have calculated that about 7.6 billion years from now, the sun will reach its maximum size as a red giant and will shine 3,000 times brighter. This may mean that the earth is ‘eaten up’ by the sun but some assert that the earth will also move it’s orbit. But there would probably be no life since the temperatures would be too hot!
